Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Bank Senior Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology to join their Pharmacy team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand-new oncology service from the ground up, establishing guidelines, policies, and protocols for a robust patient-centred pharmacy service.

The post holder will provide expert pharmaceutical care across inpatient wards, chemotherapy day units, and outpatient clinics. Duties include clinical screening and verification of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions, and playing a key role in medicines governance.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in pharmacy (or equivalent) — essential.
  • Post graduate clinical diploma in clinical pharmacy (hospital) or equivalent experience — essential.
  • Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) — essential.
  • BOPA passport level 2c adult solid tumour and haematology modules — desirable.
  • Significant experience in oncology and/or haematology pharmacy — essential.
  • Experience of clinical verification of SACT prescriptions — essential.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy service standards, guidelines, and care pathways relevant to oncology.
  • Support the introduction of new medicines, commissioning decisions, and treatment protocols in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to oncology and haematology patients across inpatient wards, the chemotherapy day unit, and outpatient clinics.
  • Act as an authorised pharmacist in the pharmacy aseptic unit, undertaking prescription validation and release of chemotherapy, biological, and CIVAS products.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date oncology pharmaceutical guidelines, protocols, and Patient Group Directions.
  • Provide clinical screening and verification of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions.
  • Play a key role in medicines governance, supporting the development and ongoing review of oncology guidelines.
