As part of the health care team, this position practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, integrating patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. The role serves an inpatient cardiology unit, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult and geriatric patients.
Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications, and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Monitors patient medication regimens and collaborates with the medical team to adjust therapies as needed.
Works within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting, engaging with cardiologists, nurses, and other specialists. Participates in clinical rounds to provide real-time pharmacotherapy recommendations. The unit focuses on acute cardiac care, requiring close collaboration and timely interventions.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. (Required)
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice. (Required)
- One year of previous hospital pharmacy experience. (Preferred)
- Cardiology experience. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of pharmacotherapy for cardiovascular diseases and drug interactions.
- Ability to provide drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare providers.
- Proficiency with hospital pharmacy information systems and medication management software.
Responsibilities
