About this role

The Retail Pharmacy Technician prepares and sells medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, and provides bedside delivery services. This position reports directly to the Manager Retail Pharmacy Operations.

The technician assists in ordering and maintaining an economic and adequate inventory to service client and patient needs. They participate in cycle counting, resolve discrepancies, and maintain medication storage areas.

The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday 7AM-6PM and Saturday 9AM-3PM. Ensuring accurate medication preparation and delivery is central to patient care in this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1 year pharmacy experience (Required)
  • Pharmacy Technician State Certification (Required)
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification (Required)
  • Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) (Required)
  • Pharmacy Intern Permit (Required)
  • Preferred: 3 years retail pharmacy, 1 year outpatient hospital pharmacy, 1 year Epic Willow Ambulatory

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and sells medications under pharmacist supervision
  • Provides bedside delivery services to patients
  • Assists in ordering and maintaining an economic and adequate inventory
  • Participates in cycle counting and resolves discrepancies
  • Assists in maintenance of all medication storage areas
  • Assists in receiving and placement of incoming stock
  • Replenishes dispensing areas with medication stock and supplies
  • Replenishes automation equipment with medication stock and supplies
