About this role

As a Retail Pharmacist at Nebraska Medicine, partner with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality patient care. Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications while providing clinical monitoring and drug information. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and maintain accurate records.

Provide direction to pharmacy technicians and interns while helping coordinate daily pharmacy operations. Work across retail pharmacy locations including Durham Outpatient Pharmacy, Lauritzen Outpatient Pharmacy, Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy, Village Pointe Pharmacy, and collaborate with the Centralized Services team at Central Fill Pharmacy.

This part-time role includes one evening shift every other week at Durham Outpatient Pharmacy and one Saturday every third week at Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Remaining shifts are primarily first shift, typically 10-hour shifts, and self-scheduled. Includes one holiday per year.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment
