About this role
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is a 25-bed, non-profit critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. Serve patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to the multidisciplinary health care team, and monitoring patient drug therapies. CRMC provides many services found in big cities with friendly and caring staff.
Review and interpret physician orders to detect therapeutic incompatibilities. Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions.
Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and supervising technicians’ workflow, verifying preparations, and maintaining inventory. Manage processes for the 340B retail pharmacy program to ensure compliance and optimal pricing. Provide pharmacological information by answering questions from health care professionals and counseling patients.
Develop staff retail pharmacy knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training technicians, students, interns, and professionals. Comply with state and federal drug laws regulated by the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA. Maintain a safe and clean working environment while protecting patients through infection-control protocols.
Requirements
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff, and the public
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Computer skills, including MSOffice, Outlook, and Meditech, preferred
- Ability to move, position self, operate equipment, and exert 20 to 50 pounds occasionally
