Requirements
- Active pharmacist license in California
- PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
- Experience in retail pharmacy operations
- Ability to work night shifts consistently
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and dispensing systems
- Familiarity with controlled substances handling
- Eligibility for NUHW union membership
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications to patients on night shift
- Counsel patients on medication use and potential interactions
- Verify prescription accuracy and check for drug interactions
- Manage overnight inventory and restock pharmacy supplies
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing
- Maintain pharmacy records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures as needed
