About this role

Our Store Managers lead and inspire colleagues as essential team members. You will take responsibility for the overall running of the store, motivating your team while nurturing the Hickey’s Pharmacy culture aligned with Core Values: Ambition, Positive Teamwork, Customer Care, Professionalism and Reliability.

Your primary focus will be accomplishing and exceeding store targets. As a motivating leader, empower those around you to innovate and have fun. Analyse daily, weekly, monthly sales figures to ensure store profitability.

Fully flexible from Monday to Sunday, join a dynamic and energetic team. Supported in-store by an excellent team and support office, with rosters published up to 8 weeks in advance. Excellent training and support available centrally from management.

Build strong customer relationships and maintain high service levels. Foster a learning environment through mentoring and performance management. Drive commercial needs while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Requirements

  • 2 years Store Manager or People Manager experience, preferably in pharmacy
  • Previous Dispensary experience preferred
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and handle challenging situations
  • Positivity, drive and enthusiasm with responsibility and decision-making
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to understand and analyse sales figures

Responsibilities

  • Analysing daily, weekly, monthly sales figures to ensure store profitability
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained for customers and teams
  • Managing stock and cash in line with company procedures
  • Supervising and managing day-to-day operations of the store
  • Maintaining high level of customer service
  • Developing strong relationships with customers
  • Efficiently managing store operations including cost management and rostering
  • Conducting effective performance management of colleagues including appraisals, coaching and mentoring
