About this role
Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the pharmacy budget and performing necessary pharmacy staff training and development. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and act as a role model for the pharmacy team while appropriately handling customer complaints and directing workflow to reduce customer wait times. Develop, implement, supervise, and promote the sales plan and other sales initiatives as developed by the division pharmacy department. Direct the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse utilization goals and ensure proper ordering and inventory procedures.
Schedule all pharmacy staff members to help control or avoid unnecessary labor costs and supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties. Monitor third-party or insurance profitability and handle third-party problems, rejections, and audits in a timely fashion. Comply with all corporate mandated controlled substance operating procedures and maintain all pharmacy records required by laws and policies.
Promote, implement, and participate in public health initiatives and disease state management services following company sponsored training. Perform effective detailing visiting local physicians and other community targets. Travel independently as needed to support business needs and provide excellence in customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy
- 2+ years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Participation in clinical programs following company sponsored training
- Ability and willingness to continue education as necessary
- Proven leadership skills
- License must be in good standing
- Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s) (Desired)
