Pharmacist - Pharmacy Leader

Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the pharmacy budget, minimizing unauthorized overtime, and controlling inventory. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist while acting as a role model for the pharmacy team, handling customer complaints, and directing workflow to reduce wait times. Monitor third-party or insurance profitability, handle rejections and audits timely, and maintain all required pharmacy records. Schedule staff to control labor costs and direct the team to meet budgeted goals for labor, volume, inventory, and sales.

Direct the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse utilization goals, avoid overstock, and follow proper ordering procedures. Supervise and coach direct reports in their duties, complete performance reviews, and provide direct feedback. Comply with all corporate mandated controlled substance operating procedures.

Develop, implement, and promote sales plans and initiatives from the division pharmacy department. Perform effective detailing by visiting local physicians and community targets. Promote, implement, and participate in public health initiatives and disease state management services while traveling independently as needed.
