The Retail Pharmacist assists the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations at CMMC. This full-time role features variable shifts (days/evenings) to coordinate department activities. Delivers the highest quality pharmaceutical care while ensuring patient safety for all patients served.

Scope of patient care includes General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics. Supports Outpatient Services with Immunizations, Meds to Beds programs. Coordinates with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams.

Requirements

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License required
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required
  • At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred
  • Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required
  • Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required
  • APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required
  • Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred

  • Assist the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations
  • Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department
  • Provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or outpatient pharmacy
  • Ensure patient safety
  • Deliver care in General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care
  • Support Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics services
  • Provide Outpatient Services including Immunizations and Meds to Beds
  • Coordinate with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams
