About this role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our #BestTeam at BioScript Pharmacy, where we put our patients first and empower lives through specialty care. This full-time temporary role is based in Halifax, NS, with business hours Monday to Friday, no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Your mission involves assisting with dispensing activities such as technician driven prescription checks, filling and billing prescriptions, and reporting adverse effects. You will also handle inventory activities, communicate with doctors, program coordinators, and insurers to secure coverage, and respond to stakeholder inquiries via email and phone.

Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Required to be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the province of Ontario.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (Email), and Word.
- Exemplary customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team.
- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with dispensing activities including technician driven prescription checks, filling and billing prescriptions, and reporting adverse effects or events.
- Assist with inventory activities such as receiving orders and counting inventory weekly.
- Contact doctors and programs for prescriptions.
- Communicate with program coordinators and insurers to secure coverage and solve coverage issues.
- Respond to communication from various stakeholders in a timely manner, including monitoring email accounts and answering phones.
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and payers clearly and effectively.
- Ensure documentation is completed and submitted during the shift, including Post Infusion Feedback Reports, Incident Reports, Adverse Event reports, and Product Quality Complaints as per SOPs.
- Ensure related duties required to achieve Cold Chain standards for all Biologics and specialty drug products are consistently followed.
