In this role, you will work closely with pharmacists to prepare medications, assist patients, and ensure smooth day-to-day pharmacy operations. Your day-to-day includes receiving and processing prescription orders, verifying patient information, and preparing sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
One year of prior pharmacy experience is preferred but not required
Valid and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification required in the state(s) of practice
Registered and in good standing with the applicable Board of Pharmacy
Commitment to safety, compliance, and patient care
Ability to navigate computer and systems
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

Receive, process, and prepare prescription orders including counting, measuring, labeling, and mixing medications as appropriate
Verify prescription and patient information for accuracy and completeness
Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision
Maintain accurate patient profiles and medication records
Assist patients with questions, provide pricing information, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications in compliance with safety standards
Support inventory management including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medication levels and expirations
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
