Join our team as an evening shift, full-time Pharmacy Technician at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. As part of Oklahoma's largest not-for-profit health system, we are seeking a dedicated caregiver to partner with people to live healthier lives.

In this role, you will assist pharmacists with the preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications in accordance with state board regulations. Daily tasks include obtaining drug products, operating and restocking automatic dispensing machines like Pyxis and RxOBOT, and ensuring timely and accurate medication delivery.

You will report to Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager, and Director while adhering to INTEGRIS Health policies and population-specific competencies. The environment emphasizes patient safety and compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy Technician license or CPhT (Pharmacy Technician Certification) obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Phase I Training must be completed within 1 week of hire
  • Phase II Training must be ongoing or completed within the first 90 days of receiving license
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm

Responsibilities

  • Obtains drug products, places them in appropriate containers, labels containers, and presents them to a registered pharmacist for review and approval
  • Repackages and labels medications, issues and records floor stock items, and inspects floor stock in assigned areas
  • Operates and restocks automatic dispensing machines including Pyxis machines and the RxOBOT
  • Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of medications to patient care units
  • Issues and records all inventory transactions for scheduled and non-scheduled medications, assuring counts balance with book value
  • Answers the pharmacy window and telephone, manages charging and crediting of medications, and performs emergency cart medication maintenance
  • Reports to Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager Pharmacy, and Director Pharmacy
