As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician in our Evening Team, you will contribute directly to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and patient care. You will support the smooth and effective operation of the pharmacy while taking ownership of your role within the wider team.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to upholding high standards of patient care and safety. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification or equivalent as recognised by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Have successfully completed Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician training.
- Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, or awaiting GPhC registration after completing training.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Possess outstanding communication skills and a patient-centric approach to service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Dispense and check medications prepared by others accurately against prescriptions, following pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures and UK pharmacy regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and prescribers, responding to clinical and non-clinical queries within your scope of practice.
- Apply the skills and knowledge gained through NVQ3 Pharmacy Technician training to actively support the wider Pharmacierge team.
- Contribute to the training and development of dispensary and support staff while helping to uphold high standards of care and service.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with stock control, including ordering, replenishment, and expiry checks.
- Support safety and quality assurance initiatives, including identifying and reporting any discrepancies or concerns related to medication safety.
