About this role
Cardinal Health's Pharmacy Operations coordinates safe, efficient pharmacy services for acute care hospitals, retail customers, ambulatory facilities, and oncology practices. Retail Pharmacy ensures correct, safe dispensing of prescriptions to the public per legal, ethical, and professional guidelines. It also consults patients and physicians on prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
Cardinal Health manages the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center and recruits PRN Pharmacists to cover PTO and vacations. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This role demands a flexible schedule to meet as-needed coverage needs.
Under direct manager supervision, dispense medications and ensure safe delivery to customers. Maintain open communication for consultations with customers and practitioner sites. Participate in supervising technical staff while ensuring 340B contract pharmacy compliance.
Provide professional consultations to patients and prescribers at the partner health facility. Complete operational requirements by organizing technicians' workflow and verifying pharmaceutical preparation, labeling, orders, charges, and inspections. Applies working knowledge to moderate-scope tasks with general guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
- Pharmacist registration in the state of Wisconsin required
- Immunization Certification or willing to become certified immunizer within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
- 340B experience preferred
- May require vendor credentialing

Benefits
- Anticipated hourly range: $50.10 per hour - $70.69 per hour
