About this role
As a Retail Pharmacy Technician - Float with Advocate Aurora Health, you will support multiple retail pharmacy locations in the Mount Pleasant area. This float role ensures consistent patient care and accurate prescription processing across different sites.
Your day-to-day includes filling prescriptions, managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and assisting customers. You will work a flexible schedule that includes some nights until 8pm and weekends up to every other, with weekdays from 7am to 6pm.
You will join the Aurora Pharmacy network and collaborate closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians in a fast-paced retail environment. This role offers the chance to adapt to various pharmacy settings and develop versatile skills.
This full-time position comes with benefits eligibility and an hourly pay range of $21.85 to $32.80. It provides the opportunity to grow your career across multiple pharmacy locations within a leading health system.
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or ability to obtain within specified timeframe.
- Current state pharmacy technician license or registration as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing.
- Experience with pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems.
Responsibilities
- Fill prescription orders accurately under pharmacist supervision.
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
- Provide friendly customer service and answer patient questions.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking.
- Operate pharmacy software and cash register systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Float between multiple retail pharmacy locations as needed.
