About this role

Alto Pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to provide an outstanding patient experience from on-boarding through delivery at our Dallas pharmacy. This role is central to changing the traditional pharmacy model for the better, making access to medications simple and seamless through quality service.

In this role, you will perform quality control and prescription order consolidation in preparation for delivery, checking the complete details of each order to ensure patients receive the correct medications. You will also fill, label, and package prescriptions with precise attention to detail, ensuring the right package gets to the right place at the right time.

You will work with a fantastic team of in-house couriers, routing them effectively to deliver to patients on time. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the ability to multitask across multiple platforms and prioritize in a constantly changing setting.

Requirements

  • Current CPhT pharmacy technician license or a pharmacy technician in training license (must complete hours to get pharmacy technician license within 1 year of starting)
  • On occasion, will need to deliver prescriptions to patients within defined delivery zones
  • Open availability during operating business hours, to include evenings and weekends (flexibility to business needs/hours)
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Know how to prioritize in a constantly changing environment
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Compliance with all Board of Pharmacy regulations and other federal/state/local agencies

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control and prescription order consolidation in preparation for delivery, checking complete details to ensure patients receive the correct medications
  • Work with in-house couriers and route them effectively to deliver to patients on time
  • Engage and communicate cross-functionally with other teams to improve internal systems
  • Fill, label, and package prescriptions to ensure the right package gets to the right place at the right time
  • Accurately prepare and fill orders for patients in a timely manner with precise detail
  • Assist with inventory management duties such as placing orders with vendors, confirming receipt, removing outdated drugs, and maintaining automated dispensing machines
  • Collaborate and cross-train with different departments across the company to accommodate business needs
