Supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by performing daily activities in the retail pharmacy. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to provide exceptional patient care and improved outcomes. Achieves organizational goals while meeting KPIs.
Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals. Counsels patients on drug therapies and provides timely quality care.
Models and holds others accountable to the Barnes culture while acting as a coach and mentor. Conveys clear performance expectations, follows up consistently, and enforces individual accountability. Collaborates with prescribers and clinical staff to improve health outcomes and safety.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Operates in compliance with all governing bodies such as GABOP, DEA, and ADAP. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required; PharmD strongly preferred
- Active/Good Standing Pharmacist License in the appropriate state
- Two years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Active Immunizing Certificate preferred
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day
- Compliance with governing bodies including GABOP, DEA, and ADAP
