Cardinal Health seeks a highly motivated pharmacist for a community health center-owned retail pharmacy. Pharmacists deliver medication and pharmaceutical care to communities most in need, including immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and high-risk patient management. The pharmacy is located at 72nd Street Pharmacy in Midvale, UT, with hours Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:15pm.
Under direct supervision of the manager, the role involves dispensing medications and ensuring safe, efficient delivery to customers. Responsibilities include maintaining open communication for consultations, supervising technical staff, and ensuring compliance with 340B best practices. Professional consultations are provided to patients and prescribers at the partner health facility.
Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing technicians' workflow, verifying pharmaceutical preparation and labeling, and inspecting order entries and charges. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
- Pharmacy license in the state of Utah
- Ability to live and work in driving distance to Midvale, UT
- 2-4 years related pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
- 340B experience preferred
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications and ensure safe and efficient delivery to all customers
- Maintain open communication and provide consultation to customers and practitioner sites
- Participate in supervision of technical staff
- Ensure pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies
- Provide professional consultation to patients and prescribers of partner health facility
- Organize and direct technicians' workflow
- Verify preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
- Verify order entries, charges, and inspections
