As a non-certified pharmacy technician, you will be subject to the supervision of a registered pharmacist as defined by Kentucky Law and Regulations, and you can help our team make a lasting difference.

Your functions, directed by a pharmacist, are subject to review and may include entering prescriptions and refills on a computer, counting and filling prescriptions, and performing other suitable tasks. You must comply with Federal and State laws and regulations, and drive for extended periods with a reliable automobile.

You will work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team, requiring knowledge of interpersonal dynamics. The schedule is PRN, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, demanding flexibility and strong written and oral communication skills. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of interpersonal dynamics within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Registration or license required by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
  • Current Kentucky Driver’s license, auto insurance, and unlimited access to a reliable automobile
  • No positive drug or alcohol test including pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in confidential matters
  • Must be able to drive for extended periods with no ill effects
  • Must be flexible and have good written and oral communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Enter prescriptions and refills on a computer under pharmacist direction
  • Count and fill prescriptions in compliance with Federal and State laws
  • Perform other suitable tasks as directed by the supervising pharmacist
  • Travel to patient homes using a reliable automobile with valid insurance
  • Maintain compliance with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration requirements
  • Operate under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist at all times
