Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled Pharmacist to join our collaborative Retail team. The Retail Pharmacist assists the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations. Coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care. Ensures patient safety across diverse services served by the hospital or outpatient pharmacy.

Serves a diverse patient population including rural and medically complex communities throughout Maine. Collaborates with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams. Provides Outpatient Services such as Immunizations, Meds to Beds, General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, and Geriatrics.

Requirements

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License required
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required
  • At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred
  • Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required
  • Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required
  • APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required
  • Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations
  • Coordinate activities of the pharmacy department
  • Provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or outpatient pharmacy
  • Ensure patient safety in all operations
  • Support General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Emergency Care
  • Deliver Oncology, Perioperative, and Geriatrics services
  • Provide Outpatient Services including Immunizations and Meds to Beds
  • Coordinate with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams
