Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and clinically skilled Pharmacist to join our collaborative Retail team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a dynamic hospital environment where patient safety, clinical excellence, and teamwork are at the center of everything we do.

In this role, you will assist the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations and coordinate activities to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care. Your scope of patient care may include General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics, and Outpatient Services including Immunizations and Meds to Beds.

You will work closely with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams while serving a diverse patient population—including rural and medically complex communities throughout Maine. Requirements

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License required
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required
  • At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred
  • Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required
  • Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required
  • APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required
  • Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations
  • Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy
  • Ensure patient safety across all areas of practice
  • Provide pharmaceutical care for General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics, and Outpatient Services
  • Administer immunizations and support Meds to Beds program
  • Coordinate with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams
  • Serve a diverse patient population including rural and medically complex communities
