About this role
The Retail Pharmacist assists the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations. This role coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety.
The scope of patient care provided may include General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics, and Outpatient Services. These services encompass immunizations, meds to beds, and coordination with multiple clinical teams.
Outpatient responsibilities focus on delivering immunizations and meds to beds programs. The pharmacist coordinates closely with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams to support seamless patient care across ambulatory settings.

Requirements
- Current state Registered Pharmacist License required
- B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required
- At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred
- Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred
- Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required
- APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required
- Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred
- 340B program experience preferred
