Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, keeping the customer at the centre of everything you do. This role assists with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions and supports the delivery of pharmacy services.

Day-to-day duties include greeting customers, gathering prescription information, and setting realistic wait time expectations. You will also locate and cash out prescriptions, maintain the dispensary cash register, and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.

You will work under the guidance of a pharmacist in a supportive store environment, with the backing of a national brand. Each store has an Associate-Owner, so you work for a local business owner while benefiting from corporate resources.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task
Problem Solving Skills
Strong attention to detail
Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards
Perform duties in priority according to Role assigned on Role Assignment Schedule
Locate and cash out prescriptions and any ancillary items
Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary
Receive new and repeat prescription orders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts
Assist in prescription preparation to company's standards and professional services
Accurately enter and maintain appropriate data within the applicable Pharmacy systems
