Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving customer prescriptions, maintaining patient and drug information files, and checking pharmaceutical products prepared by others. You will also prepare prescription labels, reconcile accounts, and manage inventory using the Kroll system. Stock medications and related supplies while rotating and monitoring stock.

Requirements

Registered pharmacy technician certification and maintained registration with appropriate pharmacy association
High level of professionalism
Knowledge of professional discipline, technical specialties, and related processes
Ability to implement practical procedures of systems which are moderately complex
Leadership and organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle cash accurately
Ability to effectively communicate one on one and over the telephone with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers
Experience with Kroll is an asset

Responsibilities

Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, and ensure completeness of information
Maintain patient and drug information files
Check pharmaceutical products prepared by another regulated pharmacy technician or by unregulated pharmacy personnel
Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
Prepare prescription labels and affix prescription and auxiliary labels to prescription container
Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding monies from patients where necessary
Stock medications and related supplies, rotate and monitor stock, and maintain perpetual inventory system in Kroll
