Community Health Center programs are designed for healthcare facilities addressing population health management from HRSA compliance to medication adherence. Solutions improve patient access and increase quality of care with serving the patient as main priority. Cardinal Health seeks a highly motivated pharmacist for a company-owned retail contract pharmacy.

Pharmacists deliver medication and pharmaceutical care in communities most in need including immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and management of high risk patients. Work under direct supervision of manager while maintaining open communication with customers and practitioner sites. Participate in supervision of technical staff and ensure compliance with 340B best practices.

Provide professional consultation to patients and prescribers of partner health facilities. Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing technicians' workflow and verifying preparation, labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
  • Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located
  • Immunization Certification or willing to become certified immunizer within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
  • 340B experience preferred
  • May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and ensure safe and efficient delivery to all customers under direct supervision of manager
  • Maintain open communication and remain available for consultation with customers and practitioner sites
  • Participate in supervision of technical staff
  • Ensure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies
  • Provide professional consultation to patients and prescribers of partner health facility
