About this role

This is a casual per diem position with 10-hour varied shifts at the Torrey Pines Infusion Center. The center is open Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, and training requires 2-3 days per week for the first month. After training, at least two shifts per two-week pay period are expected.

Day-to-day responsibilities include inventory management, pump compounding, and investigational drug compounding. You will also support central prior authorization and may float to other infusion centers based on staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
  • Active California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of sterile compounding and aseptic technique
  • Ability to work 10-hour varied shifts including occasional Saturdays
  • Willingness to float to different infusion center locations

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of oncology medications and supplies
  • Perform pump compounding for chemotherapy infusions
  • Compound investigational drugs for clinical trials
  • Support central prior authorization processes
  • Prepare and dispense sterile chemotherapy medications under pharmacist supervision
  • Maintain compliance with USP 800 standards for hazardous drug handling
  • Float to other infusion centers as needed based on staffing requirements
