About this role

This is a casual per diem position with 10-hour varied shifts at the Torrey Pines Infusion Center. The center is open Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, and training requires 2-3 days per week for the first month. After training, at least two shifts per two-week pay period are expected.

Day-to-day responsibilities include inventory management, pump compounding, and investigational drug compounding. You will also support central prior authorization and may float to other infusion centers based on staffing needs.

Requirements

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
Active California Pharmacy Technician license
Experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy setting
Knowledge of sterile compounding and aseptic technique
Ability to work 10-hour varied shifts including occasional Saturdays
Willingness to float to different infusion center locations

Responsibilities

Manage inventory of oncology medications and supplies
Perform pump compounding for chemotherapy infusions
Compound investigational drugs for clinical trials
Support central prior authorization processes
Prepare and dispense sterile chemotherapy medications under pharmacist supervision
Maintain compliance with USP 800 standards for hazardous drug handling
Float to other infusion centers as needed based on staffing requirements
