We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Pharmacy Technology Program. The primary responsibility will be to teach Pharmacy courses. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education.

Applicants will provide academic advising to students and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation. Join a team focused on preparing students for employment upon graduation. Contribute to their lifetime of professional growth in pharmacy technology.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Tech program resulting in a certificate of completion or diploma; associate degree preferred
  • CPhT certification and PTCB and/or ExCPT
  • At least three years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, motivated and results-driven
  • Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach Pharmacy courses in the Pharmacy Technology Program
  • Provide academic advising to students
  • Participate in department training
  • Attend department meetings
  • Participate in graduation ceremonies
  • Deliver instruction on pharmacy technician skills and procedures
  • Facilitate hands-on training in pharmacy technology competencies
  • Assess student progress toward pharmacy technician certification
