About this role

You’ll act as the service ambassador and provide an exceptional non-judgemental outpatient pharmacy counter service to all patients, staff and health care professionals. Manage and coordinate the front counter service, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate advice on over-the-counter medicines. Ensure all customers are well received and responded to appropriately.

The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London with 180 beds, theatres, intensive care, paediatrics and more. The pharmacy service is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 2.30pm. As a front-line team member, you’ll register patients and handle payments.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent Customer Service focus
  • Medicine Counter Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Experience of retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy (essential)
  • Computer literate
  • Experience in service delivery in area of Pharmacy (essential)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the service ambassador and provide an exceptional non-judgemental outpatient pharmacy counter service to all patients, staff and health care professionals
  • Manage and coordinate the front counter service, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate advice on over-the-counter medicines
  • Ensure all customers are well received and responded to appropriately
  • Register patients, take payments and provide an accurate cashier function
  • Manage a daily float in line with current policy and procedures
  • Collect data for audit purposes
