Bakersfield, US · Full-time · $42,000 – $58,000

About this role

Adventist Health Bakersfield, a 254-bed acute care hospital, has provided world-class physicians, top-notch medical technology, and award-winning quality since 1910. Pharmacy Technicians perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other nondiscretionary tasks related to furnishing drugs under direct pharmacist supervision. They fill and deliver unit dose cassettes from patient profiles to nursing units.

Daily tasks include pulling medications from stock and matching them accurately with pharmacist-generated labels. Technicians maintain floor stock by restocking nursing areas, removing expired medications, and rotating stock. They prepare IV medication products within applicable laws and regulations.

Team members check in orders from wholesalers, distribute stock appropriately, file paperwork, and process returns and back orders timely. Pricing and stocking incoming deliveries supports efficient operations. Other medication areas receive consistent maintenance.
