Help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications to ensure patients get the right medication and the right dosage every time. Provide exceptional and personalized customer service for patients through in-person and phone communication while helping them navigate stress with calm guidance.

This pharmacy serves the local community Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm at 1220 Jefferson St. Laurel, MS 39440. The role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds while regularly talking, hearing, and seeing distinctions in colors and shapes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Active License/Registration from the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy non-expired
  • Working knowledge of Pharmacy Technician duties
  • Active Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA
  • Experience working in a specialty pharmacy setting
  • Experience handling prior authorizations
  • Knowledge of clinical review processes

Responsibilities

  • Help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications to ensure patients get the right medication and the right dosage every time
  • Provide exceptional and personalized customer service for patients through in-person and phone communication and active listening
  • Learn and demonstrate an understanding of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more
  • Accurately and efficiently enter patient, medication, billing, and sales data into systems
  • Support and help improve the pharmacy and the team while learning and growing with others at Omnicell
