About this role
The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. They deliver safe, effective, rational, and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through medication management programs. The department focuses on accurate dispensing, including ordering, filling, verifying, selling, and shipping of specialty medication.
Daily responsibilities include assisting in supervising Pharmacy Technicians and Interns during functional activities. The role involves participating in department-directed medication management consistent with Corewell Health goals and objectives. Good judgment and decisiveness are demonstrated in routine operations.
This position operates in the Van Buren Township Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Center on full-time day shift. Oversight, guidance, and support are provided to management for all assigned areas. The environment supports a structured team handling specialty pharmacy fulfillment.
The Clinical Pharmacist maintains a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and shows personal commitment to professional growth. They participate in planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of new programs and activities. This fosters ongoing development in pharmaceutical care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience preferred
- LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - State of Michigan within 90 Days required
- LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - State of Michigan within 90 Days required
- Ability to provide pharmaceutical care according to professional standards
- Knowledge of statutory requirements for pharmacy practice
