You'll collaborate with duty supervisors, Lead Pharmacist, and Responsible Pharmacist in a pharmacy environment focused on quality and risk management. Requirements

  • UK recognised pharmaceutical qualification at Level 3 (e.g. BTEC, NVQ or equivalent)
  • UK recognised or GPhC accredited Pharmacy Accuracy Checking qualification (subject to internal approval by the Superintendent Pharmacist)
  • Currently registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and completion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Complete the final checks of all Renal & HPN products to be dispensed, ensuring errors are recorded, corrected, and escalated
  • Maintain required pharmacy dispensing records with a clear audit trail using Good Documentation Practices
  • Ensure all details for home patient orders are correct and apply patient labels per labelling requirements
  • Process all orders on time, check returns, and complete relevant pharmacy documentation
  • Provide full and complete handover to the Responsible Pharmacist at shift end or beginning
  • Undertake Pharmacy Risk Assessments and submit findings to the Responsible Pharmacist
  • Support pharmacy procedural activities including complaint management and prescription investigations
  • File prescriptions and legal documents for easy access in line with GDPR
