Cabrini Health Pharmacy delivers clinical pharmacy, dispensing, procurement, sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing, and clinical trial management services. The Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 role supports pharmacists across these functions in well-resourced facilities focused on patient-centred care.
Daily work involves assisting with medication preparation, labelling, dispensing, and sterile compounding while maintaining regulatory-compliant environments. Tasks include stock rotation, ward dispensing via Omnicell reports, script reconciliation, and department cleaning with microbiological testing.
The position operates within a not-for-profit Catholic health service that values mission-led culture and teamwork. Roster covers a 7-day week with most shifts on weekdays, supported by experienced staff providing on-the-job training.

Requirements
- Previous pharmacy or compounding experience and hospital setting experience advantageous
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain excellent levels of customer service
- Well developed computer skills
- Positive attitude and great work ethic with a team focus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
- Sound prioritising and organisation skills
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation, labelling and dispensing of medications and sterile preparations
- Maintain sterile and non-sterile compounding environments according to regulatory standards
- Ensure documentation and labelling are completed accurately
- Perform medication expiry date checking, stock rotation and inventory management
- Conduct ward dispensing and charging based on Omnicell activity reports
- Reconcile scripts owing and assist with H.I.C claims, Medicare follow-up and PBS online
- Manage drug returns from wards and units plus receipting, invoicing and crediting of stock
- Maintain department cleanliness including decontamination of sterile cabinets and microbiological testing
