About this role
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of many day-to-day tasks which enables the Pharmacy to run smoothly and efficiently. These tasks are completed under the supervision of a pharmacist to support overall operations.
Core duties include accurately filling physician’s orders and restocking automated dispensing machines. Additional responsibilities cover completing home medication histories for patients, IV admixture, and unit-dosing medications.
Further tasks involve answering the phone and crediting patient profiles for returned medication. Quality assurance activities such as monthly unit inspections and checking for outdated medications are also performed.
Helping to assure that adequate stock is on hand supports continuous pharmacy function. Other duties may be assigned as needed to maintain efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- High School graduate required
- Must hold Indiana Pharmacy Apprentice License
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification a plus but not required
