Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Arkansas Pharmacy Technician registration
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy operations
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and prior authorizations
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems
  • Ability to manage complex patient cases
  • Understanding of controlled substance handling

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the pharmacist
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients receiving specialty medications
  • Manage patient intake and benefit investigations for specialty drugs
  • Process prior authorizations and insurance verifications
  • Maintain inventory of high-cost specialty medications
  • Assist with medication dispensing and packaging
  • Support pharmacist in patient education on specialty therapies
  • Handle refill management and adherence monitoring
