As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations, including customer service, servicing the front counter, cashier duties, and telephone inquiries. You will also operate the pharmacy computer, assist in processing and preparing prescriptions, and handle general housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff, and management
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with a high level of enthusiasm
  • Ability to relate to all levels of customers and their needs
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team player with a team approach
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department
  • Provide customer service and service the front counter
  • Handle cashier duties and telephone inquiries
  • Operate the pharmacy computer to assist in processing and preparing prescriptions
  • Perform ordering and receiving of drug orders
  • Manage pharmacy inventory
  • Complete general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized pharmacy
