About this role
This role is accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. As Pharmacy Manager, you will manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the budget and controlling inventory.
Day-to-day responsibilities include performing all functions of a staff pharmacist, acting as a role model for the pharmacy team, and directing workflow to reduce customer wait times. You will also handle customer complaints, supervise and coach direct reports, and complete performance reviews with direct feedback.
You will develop, implement, and promote sales initiatives as developed by the division pharmacy department, and direct the pharmacy team to achieve warehouse utilization goals. This includes avoiding unnecessary overstock, reducing fill on-arrival prescriptions, and ensuring all staff follow proper ordering and inventory record keeping procedures.
This position offers the opportunity to promote and participate in public health initiatives and disease state management services. You will also perform effective detailing by visiting local physicians and other community targets to support business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Active pharmacist license in the state of employment in good standing
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and documents
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Participation in clinical programs following company sponsored training
