About this role

Responsible for all aspects of the Stores’ operations, leading the entire operation to ensure Company standards and best practices are consistently met. Staffs, trains and develops the leadership team to deliver desired sales and profit results.

Day-to-day duties include analyzing Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance, and addressing variances with appropriate action plans. The role also involves managing the operations of the Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor to ensure new merchandise reaches the floor in a timely manner.

Recruits, hires, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors, and non-exempt Associates, striving to reduce Store turnover through selection, training, and motivation. The Store Manager utilizes all retention tools including incentive programs, recognition opportunities, contests, and training to build a strong, engaged team.

Responsible for payroll administration, scheduling compliance, and controlling payroll hours to plan as the primary controllable expense. This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership capabilities while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensuring compliance with all State, Local and Federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead all Company Best Practices and drive productivity improvements.
  • Ability to analyze Store reports and manage controllable expenses.
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, train and develop a retail leadership team and Associates.
  • Experience managing payroll administration and Associate scheduling to meet business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of loss prevention and safety procedures to maintain a secure environment.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Leads all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
  • Analyzes Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates.
  • Manages Associate Relations issues, consulting with the District Manager as needed.
  • Controls payroll hours to plan, as the primary controllable expense, adjusting to current business trends.
  • Maintains adherence to Company safety policies and ensures the safety of Associates and Customers.
  • Executes Customer service programs and Merchandise Presentation programs through the team.
  • Ensures compliance with all State, Local and Federal regulations and Ross personnel policies.
