About this role
The Pharmacy Manager provides comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders and administering immunizations in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations. This position drives sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and inventory management.
Daily responsibilities include overseeing inventory flow processes, conducting Associate meetings, and ensuring pharmacy operations align with Company policies and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and SOP. The role manages finances by interpreting financial data, maintaining budgets, and monitoring performance against strategic requirements.
The manager models proper customer service techniques to resolve complaints within Company guidelines and oversees community outreach programs. This includes ensuring confidentiality of records and creating a culture of patient care safety and accuracy across the facility.
Leadership duties focus on selecting, training, and mentoring Associates while providing performance feedback and promoting a belonging mindset. The position enforces loss prevention controls and implements action plans to support operational and quality assurance goals.
Requirements
- Licensed pharmacist authorized to practice in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations
- Ability to interpret and apply Company policies, HIPAA standards, SOP, and QA procedures
- Experience managing pharmacy financials including budgets, revenues, and operating expenses
- Skill in overseeing inventory flow processes and loss prevention controls
- Capability to provide supervision, training, and performance feedback to Associates
- Knowledge of proper customer service techniques and complaint resolution within guidelines

- Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates by selecting, training, mentoring, and providing performance feedback
- Manages Pharmacy Operations by conducting Associate meetings, ensuring alignment with HIPAA and SOP standards, and documenting new processes
- Oversees Inventory Flow by monitoring processes, identifying merchandise needs, and addressing facility problems with inventory
