HealthCore Community Pharmacy provides retail pharmacy services to clinic patients and the community. Pharmacists deliver medication and pharmaceutical care to communities most in need, including immunizations and medication therapy management.

This PRN role covers vacation and sick time on an as-needed basis in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. Responsibilities include dispensing medications under manager supervision and ensuring safe, efficient delivery to customers. Pharmacists maintain open communication for consultations with patients and practitioner sites.

The pharmacy operates Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-7:00PM, Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, and Saturday 8:00AM-1:00PM. Participate in supervising technical staff and ensuring compliance with 340B best practices. Provide professional consultations to patients and prescribers at the partner health facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
  • Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
  • 340B experience preferred
  • May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and ensure safe, efficient delivery to all customers under manager supervision
  • Maintain open communication and provide consultation to customers and practitioner sites
  • Participate in supervision of technical staff
  • Ensure pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies
  • Provide professional consultation to patients and prescribers of partner health facility
  • Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow
  • Verify technicians' preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, order entries, charges, and inspections
  • Deliver immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and care for high-risk patients
