About this role

Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. This includes collecting, inputting, and verifying prescription, refill, and patient information.

Day-to-day tasks involve receiving and stocking incoming supplies, preparing labels and routine prepacked orders, and performing clerical duties relating to the department. The role supports the pharmacy team within the Medical University Hospital Authority.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of work experience.
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP).
  • National certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required and must be maintained.
