Join UW Health as a Clinical Pharmacist at East Madison Hospital, one of the most advanced hospitals and wellness centers in the country. In this role, you will provide patient care to a diverse population including emergency department patients and med/surg patients, supporting pharmacy services in both central and decentralized settings.

Your day-to-day work will involve medication therapy management, order verification, and clinical decision-making across day, evening, and night shifts. The role includes a 50/50 split of AM and PM shifts ranging from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with up to three weeks of overnight shifts per year and weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree required
1 year of clinical patient care and orders management experience required
Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin within 90 days required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days required
Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days required
Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency training program preferred
3 years of institutional experience (hospital or integrated health system) or completion of an ASHP accredited residency training program preferred
Certification through an appropriate certifying program (Board of Pharmacy Specialties, National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

Provide patient care to a diverse population including emergency department patients and med/surg patients
Support pharmacy services in central and decentralized settings
Precept UW School of Pharmacy students
Manage medication therapy for a growing hospital environment
Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required
Work a 50/50 split of AM and PM shifts ranging from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM
Cover up to three weeks of overnight shifts per year
