As a Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Patient Care Center of Excellence, you will support the various stages of patient care and contact in a closed-door pharmacy environment.

Your day-to-day work will involve a mix of phone-based patient and provider interactions, high-volume data entry, and navigating multiple pharmacy software systems. You will process prescription information with speed and accuracy, perform claim adjudication and auditing duties, and serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on the patient's behalf.

This is an office or remote-based, cubicle environment that provides a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere. You will partner with technicians and pharmacists to ensure new patients are successfully on-boarded, and you will place welcome calls to establish a trusted point of contact.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy environment
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and data entry
  • Sound drug knowledge to handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers
  • Ability to perform claim adjudication, prior authorizations, and eligibility checks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Comfortable working in a phone-based, cubicle environment

Responsibilities

  • Providing an exceptional customer service experience each day in a phone-based environment
  • Enter a high volume of data, processing prescription information with speed and accuracy
  • Utilizing sound drug knowledge to effectively receive prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers
  • Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties such as prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks, requiring outbound calls to patients
  • Working through current case queues to problem solve for patient care issues
  • Serving as a liaison between the clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals on the patient's behalf
  • Partner with technicians and pharmacists to ensure that new patients are successfully on-boarded
  • Placing outbound calls to patients to create, maintain, or update their medication profiles
