About this role
Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through health-system integrated specialty pharmacy. We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide integrated support to patients and physicians using a hands-on approach that improves the quality of care.
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive clinical reviews, monitor patient adherence, and recommend evidence-based therapeutic adjustments. You will also lead daily workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee support staff, and resolve insurance and authorization barriers.
You will collaborate closely with healthcare teams to deliver direct clinical interventions and contribute to protocol development and research. This position supports a clinic in California remotely, allowing you to build personalized relationships with patients and prescribers.

Requirements
- Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in California.
- 1+ years experience as a clinical pharmacist preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and technology skills.
- Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset.
- Experience in oncology or other specialty pharmacy disease states preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews and monitor patient adherence to improve outcomes across oncology and other specialty disease states.
- Recommend evidence-based therapeutic adjustments to optimize patient care.
- Lead daily workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee support staff.
- Resolve insurance and authorization barriers to facilitate timely patient access to medications.
- Deliver direct clinical interventions and coordinate with healthcare teams to support patient treatment plans.
- Contribute to protocol development and research initiatives.
- Maintain ongoing professional education to support high-quality patient care.
