About this role

Montu UK is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) for a hybrid role based in London. The role requires three days on-site at Kings Cross and two days remote, operating Monday to Friday 11am–8pm and weekends 8am–5pm with a 40-hour week. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is essential.

In this role, you will clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy. As an Independent Prescriber, you will prescribe tailored treatments, provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients, and maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards. You will also support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.

Collaboration is central as you work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care. You will help develop clinical pathways and educate patients and staff, driving improvements in this rapidly growing field. Requirements

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
  • At least 2 years of prescribing experience.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of CBPM is desired but not essential, or willingness to undergo specialised training.
  • Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings.
  • Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands.
  • Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
  • Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
  • Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
  • Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
  • Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve treatment outcomes.
