About this role

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), or R.Ph. with appropriate clinical experience.
• Applicable active state licensure.
• Minimum 7 years Pharmacist experience, preferably direct compounding.
• Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience preferred.
• Efficiency in CPR+ / Care Tend is desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations.
• Provides and/or oversees compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other mid-level practitioners.
• Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies.
• Conducts initial and ongoing assessment of specific patient, drug and disease information to identify real and potential drug-related problems or needs.
• Interfaces with physicians and referral sources as required, and serves as a drug information resource to the sales force.
• Completes all necessary managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, addressing performance issues, developing team goals and objectives, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
• Participates in and maintains on–call schedule for pharmacists and covers as needed.
