About this role

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Gainesville, affiliated with Select Medical, seeks a Pharmacist for a PRN role. The position supports an inpatient rehabilitation hospital providing compassionate care for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.

As the Pharmacist, you will have working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations, and IV admixture. You will provide clinical support in a fast-paced environment and maintain adequate drug supplies at all times.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
  • Current state licensure as a pharmacist.
  • BLS certification if required by the state.
  • Working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
  • Experience providing clinical support in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Ability to maintain adequate drug supplies and manage inventory.
  • Skill in instructing patients on discharge medications.
  • Participation in patient drug therapy monitoring and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
  • Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
  • Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
