About this role

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Processing Pharmacy Technician for our Ft. Lauderdale pharmacy. We are looking for a Technician who is obsessed with details and driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what.

In this role, you will prepare orders for our pet parents by confirming customer data; counting, compounding, filling and labeling medications; and packing orders. You will also ensure accuracy of patient information and records, update as necessary, and handle customer interactions in a friendly and professional manner.

You will partner with pharmacists to troubleshoot issues, work on special projects to improve quality and efficiency, and drive a smooth operation. Keeping accurate records and monitoring inventory levels in accordance with Florida State Board of Pharmacy and Federal regulations is essential, as is maintaining an organized work area and the appearance of the pharmacy.

Over time, you will cross-train across other Mixlab functions including customer service, logistics, and compounding. You will champion the pet parent experience by recommending digital process changes and troubleshooting bugs, consistently meeting standards of accuracy and potency.

Requirements

Must have completed a Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program
Experience working in a data processing, compounding pharmacy, fulfillment, or retail role
Customer-focused (and pet-focused!) mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and a collaborative, team-player attitude
All-hands-on-deck attitude with ability to remain calm and excel under pressure
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities
