About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Pharmacy Technician to join our Methodist Hospital Pharmacy team. Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

The role involves working a day/eve rotating schedule with every other weekend on and three holidays per year. You will be part of a team dedicated to making an impact on the care and experience that patients and their families receive every day.

Requirements

Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Certification as CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT preferred but not required
One or more recent years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
Ability to work rotating day/eve shifts including every other weekend and three holidays per year
Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques for hazardous and non-hazardous medications
Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and labeling

Responsibilities

Assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients
Prepare and label medications under direct supervision of a Pharmacist
Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory
Operate pharmacy automation equipment and compounding devices
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous medications
Communicate with nursing staff regarding medication orders and delivery schedules
