About this role

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Pharmacy Technician to join our Methodist Hospital Pharmacy team. Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

The role involves working a day/eve rotating schedule with every other weekend on and three holidays per year. You will be part of a team dedicated to making an impact on the care and experience that patients and their families receive every day.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Certification as CPhT through PTCB or ExCPT preferred but not required
  • One or more recent years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Ability to work rotating day/eve shifts including every other weekend and three holidays per year
  • Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques for hazardous and non-hazardous medications
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and labeling

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the timely and accurate dispensing of sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients
  • Prepare and label medications under direct supervision of a Pharmacist
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory
  • Operate pharmacy automation equipment and compounding devices
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous medications
  • Communicate with nursing staff regarding medication orders and delivery schedules
